It is best to burn scented candles for 3–4 hours at a time; this prevents "tunneling" and allows the fragrance to reach its full potential. For the first burn, keep the candle lit until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the container. Burning it for too long, however, can lead to the wax overheating.
-
During the first burn, allow the candle to stay lit until the wax has melted across the entire surface, reaching the edges of the container. This can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. This practice prevents "tunneling" (the formation of a crater around the wick), ensuring that the candle burns evenly in the future.

Burning scented candles with a wooden wick differs slightly from traditional cotton wicks and requires following a few rules to ensure a beautiful crackle and an even burn. Before every light, you should remove the charred top part of the wick so that it stands about 3–4 mm above the wax surface. If the wick is left too long, the candle may smoke or extinguish itself because the wax cannot properly reach the flame. To trim it, you can use a dedicated wick trimmer or simply snap off
the charred bits with your fingers once the candle is cold. -
During the first burn, you should allow the candle to remain lit until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the container to create a full melt pool. This process typically takes between one and three hours to complete properly. If you extinguish the candle too early, the wax will develop a "memory" for that tunnel, which means it will only melt down the center in future burns and leave wasted wax on the sides. You should also trim the cotton wick to a length of about 5 mm before every light. A wick that is too long will cause the candle to produce soot, black smoke, and a carbon buildup known as a "mushroom" at the tip. To trim it, you can use a dedicated wick trimmer or a pair of scissors once the candle has completely cooled down.

First, manually remove as much of the wax as you can, then place a sheet of paper towel over the remaining stain and press it with a hot iron. The candle wax should melt and transfer directly onto the paper. If the stains are on a smooth surface, you can use a hair dryer to gently melt the wax and then easily wipe it away with a paper towel.
-
You should always make sure there is a sufficient distance of at least 10 cm between the candles to ensure safety. It is also important to always burn candles in an appropriate holder or on a heat-resistant base.
-
The strength of the scent is designed to match the number of sticks included in the set. If you find the aroma too intense for your liking, you can simply use fewer sticks to adjust the fragrance level
